Payroll Guide

Working Days: The number of days in a month that employees are expected to work, excluding weekends and holidays.
To calculate employee's working days

Working Days = Total Days in the Month - Non-working days(Weekends) - Public Holidays

Example for May (31 days):
Total Days: 31
Weekends: 8 (4 Saturdays + 4 Sundays)
Public Holidays: Assume there are 2 public holidays in May
Working Days = 31 - 8 - 2 = 21

Leave Consumed: Paid Leave, Leave taken that does not deduct from the monthly earnings.
Days Absent: Unpaid Leave, deducted from the total working days of the month

Example Scenario:
Leave Consumed (Paid): An employee takes three days of approved vacation leave. These days are not deducted from their salary.
Days Absent (Unpaid): An employee does not show up for work for a day without notifying their supervisor. This day is marked as an unauthorized absence and the corresponding daily wage is deducted from their salary.
